Jason Gehrke has several tips when buying a franchise so you can get the best bargain for your buck, not often a term used when buying a franchise!

He says you should try buying from someone whose lease or term is coming to an end. He also suggest buying from business who are under performing, but this is an instance where you need to evaluate if you have the solution to the problem. You can also buy from business who have outdated equipment because you will need to save money in renovation and updates.

His last tip is a secret from a friend, look for those who are experiencing “debt, death or divorce” because they will be under the most pressure to sell their business.
